The Association
Precast New Zealand currently represents 20 Precast Concrete companies nationwide. Its members account for over 80% of the precast concrete market in New Zealand. It also has a growing Associate Membership.

Precast New Zealand History
The call to form an association came from a group of interested companies at a meeting at the Combined Concrete Conference in Wellington 1998 to form an industry association. A working group was formed that determined the level of support from the industry to form an association. The association was incorporated on the 17th June 1999 (A/K 966 454).

Ownership
This is an incorporated society representing its member companies.

Mission
Precast New Zealand will promote, aid, foster, research, develop and protect the interests of the precast concrete industry within New Zealand.

Objectives

1. To promote, aid, foster, research, develop and protect the interests of the precast concrete industry within New Zealand.
2. To exchange with other persons and organisations within New Zealand or offshore, information on precast concrete.
3. To provide a central organisation, through which Members may co-ordinate their efforts in handling problems of common concern.
4. To provide the support necessary to establish employee trade training to ensure that the precast industry skills and standards are maintained and are recognised by the construction industry through the quality of the products manufactured.
5. To represent and act for the industry before all divisions of Government, and public and private organisations where appropriate.
6. To publicise the aims and objects of the Association and to acquire or adopt a distinctive design, mark or device for the exclusive use of Full Members and to regulate and control the use of such design, mark or device.
7. To represent the interests of the precast industry through the development and delivery of building codes acceptable to the industry
8. Through the Executive, to establish standards which are to be required of Members of the Association and to establish a system of compliance.
